Default Writing Resume

1. Set up An Objective
You must specify for which job you are applying for. Your Reume must match to the specific job requirement.

2. A Concise Resume Format
Must avoid unnecessary information and going round about the matter. The phrase should be direct and short. There should be space in between. The important matter should be written in bold. The resume should be written in two pages but must not exceed more than three pages. Must write in bold about the skills, educational qualifications and the extra curricular achievements if any certified by relavant certificates. Must use a refined but a polite language. Resume should be updated every time a change occurs.

3. Sincere Statements:
Every sentence should be accurate without altering to the relavant documents. Only written documents and certificates are a proof. Whatever you declare, there should be a proof.

4. Avoid over writing and Corrections or Canceling.
Every sentence should be legible without ambiguity. Avoid Grammar mistakes and spelling mistakes. Do the proof reading with a competent person.

5. Statement of your Experience:
Mention your total experience in general. Mention your experience and achievements in detail but with concise statements. Do not forget to mention your academic achievements in curricular and extra curricular activities.

The typed format must be elegant and attractive to catch the attention of the employer.

I would add, always attach a good covering letter. Critically it must be addressed to the right person. They always gain so much more attention -just like mail through your door. What do you read. 'Dear home owner' or 'Dear John Smith'!

I'd also follow up any interview with a thank you letter along with some praise for how impressed you were their company. A lot of people don't bother with this but at the end of you want to stick out from the crowd for going that extra mile!

Resume design should get attention but it's really the content of your resume, the descriptions you include of your skills and abilities, that determine how many interviews you generate--as well as the level of salary offers you receive.

Learn how to analyze the key words that employers provide in help wanted ads and job descriptions is a key element in creating powerful resumes.

As you compile statements for your resume, prioritize them by importance, impressiveness and relevance to the job you want. Remember that a strong statement which uses power words and quantifies will affect every statement under it.

Excellent post! Thank you for sharing these tips with us. In a competitive market, you need to have a good resume to succeed in securing a job. The resume is an advert for you, an opportunity to sell yourself to potential employers. The resume is the first step in the recruitment process so it has to be right. I would like to share an article I came across the other day. It was entitled "Refresh your resume to improve job search". In fact, I applied the tips mentioned in that blog. I objectively rearrange all relevant information and discard all embellishments. Well, I now have a comprehensive resume for my employer's perusal.

Hey nice tips for writing resume. Even would like to share some resume writing tips in addition to tips you mentioned.

Tailor your resume for each employer:
This is one of the common mistake done by most of the job seekers. They just write a standard resume and send it to all employers. You should write a resume in such a way that it would look relevant to the job you are applying for.

Don't list all your work experiences.
List those work experiences that would be relevant and useful for the job you going to apply for.

Sell Yourself
Remember that you need to apply all the marketing strategies that would help you to sell your resume and get should noticed by hiring managers.

It is also important to update your resume, it should mean creating a resume that is up-to-date and in line with the current job hunting and employment trends.

There are a number of web-based resources that you can use to help you writing your CV. You could for example check out CV Plaza whom provide free CV templates, examples and articles. Other websites such as CV Tips and Prospectus are also very useful.
