If you are a School dropout, then better search for a company which is willing to train you for their purpose. But those aspiring for a solid job to be a car mechanic or as a car technician then after your high school you may take up automotive courses. Otherwise you better do your graduation and get admission to an accredited technical school. The training can be covered up by twelve to eighteen months. Usually the accredited technical school shall find a job for you as a apprentice or a helper. During this period you may get some stipend. If you are really interested in the job you can become an expert during this period by the job training imparted by this Institute. After your apprentice experience you will get a certificate. This certification course has been called as ASE Automotive Service Excellence. This Program conducts a series of tests and the Employer can truly evaluate the mechanic repairing skill of the applicant. ASE conducts eight basic tests and two advanced tests.
