In order to apply for an SIA license you have to be 18 years and above and should not have had any criminal convictions in the past year but it is always best to check with SIA if you have been convicted in the past.

The door supervisor course enables you to work as a security guard as well, there are two units to the course, unit 1 is roles and responsibilities of door supervisors and unit 2 is conflict management. The course consists of classroom based learning with lots of practical examples and videos etc.

Exam consists of multiple choice questions and is very easy if you have attended the training course, the questions are very basic.

Anyone who is eligible to work in the UK can apply for this license.

Pay rate varies depending on the job but usually ranges from 8.00 to 15.00 hour.

There are a lot of security jobs available even in the present environment, you can apply for security jobs either through the training company or you can look for jobs on the internet, a lot of security companies are still recruiting security personnel. Send your resume for Free Resume Assessment.

The top SIA training company is Get Licensed, they provide training all across UK, have the highest pass rate, sia qualified trainers, good venues and reasonable course prices compared to other training companies.

Upon successful completion of the training course, that is after you have received your results you may apply for the sia badge, all you have to do is order an sia application pack from the sia website, fill it out and send it off to sia.

SIA door supervisor training course is good as it enables you to work as a security guard as well hence you can cover a wide range of jobs from retailing to warehousing, clubs, bars and pubs, hotels etc.

The Security Industry Authority (SIA) is the organisation responsible for regulating the private security industry in the UK. It is a non-departmental public body reporting to the Home Secretary and was established in 2003 under the terms of the Private Security Industry Act 2001.

The SIA has two main duties. One is the compulsory licensing of individuals undertaking designated activities within the private security industry; the other is to manage a voluntary Approved Contractor Scheme, which measures private security suppliers against independently assessed criteria.
