I have heard many people claim to have a blog here and there. I know blog writing is the in-thing nowadays but how do I just start from scratch?

Do you have a topic in mind for your blog? I say you should study what you like in other popular blogs. Look at layout, content, and how they monetize. You can try to become friends with people who also want to start blogs and talk about ways you can help each other improve.

First, you should identify your niche or your topic. What do want to write about? Product reviews, updates on the latest technology, etc? Update your blog regularly so that readers will be attracted to visit your site. You might need to learn about SEO techniques in order for your site to rank well in search results and thus reach more readers.

There are lots of blog writing courses online. Before I did my blog site, I read about blogging at BlogWritingCourse | Blogging PreCourse and Blogging101. It is a very helpful site for beginners.

Get noticed. No one will read your blog at first. Don’t expect the traffic to come immediately. But write great articles with great headlines, submit some of them to social media such as Digg and Netscape, and you might get a few hits.

You need to do some online research work. You must write the content attracting the public to view on modern tips like how to make money, how to find scholarship or write the review of products of some companies. You must amake available google adsense. Your articles must have SEO standard and valuable to the Google page rank.
