Special English language course for private hire driver in London.

In 2016, London mayor’s office and Transport for London (TfL) have made some important regulatory changes to improve standards in London’s private hire industry and they have introduced English language requirement for private hire and Uber drivers who are applying for their private hire licence or renewing their current licence. All the private hire drivers will now need a certificate proving B1 proficiency in the English language. ‘Any Uber or private hire driver who does not meet the appropriate level of English will not be granted a PH licence.

The London Language Foundation is now offering existing and potential drivers English Language course to help drivers to prepare for and pass their B1 language exam.
