3 Weeks Painting & Decorating Training Course
Not everyone who wants to learn painting & decorating comprehensively wants a painting & decorating qualification so we have devised this 3-week course to take you through all of the essential painting & decorating requirements without the headache of undertaking City & Guild’s assessments. This is a very thorough non-accredited training option.
This 3 weeks of hands-on Painting & Decorating training will see you progress from a novice to a competent Painter/Decorator with the course designed to build your skills gradually until all aspects of decorating become second nature and at this Centre where ‘reality’ is important, this is easily achieved.
The areas in which you will be trained on are:
- Painting a timber window frame
- Applying emulsion to wall by roller
- Painting doors and frames
- Applying oil-based paint to walls by roller
- Removing and hanging wallpaper to walls
- Hanging paper to ceilings and painting
- Working with hardwood finishes.
How You’ll Learn
This 3-week Painting & Decorating course will provide you with in-depth training to cover 7 areas of essential Painting & Decorating. Even though you will not be going through a qualification process your progress will be consistently assessed by our qualified Painting & Decorating instructors, giving you the same benefits as someone who might be training with us for qualification purposes.
We will provide you with the Painting & Decorating training to meet the standards as required by City & Guilds but without the requirement of portfolio building and completion. We will also build on this to give you much more so that you will fully understand what Painting & Decorating is all about. The emphasis for us is on meeting and exceeding our customers’ expectations.
Courses Open To You After
If you wanted to achieve a qualification at a later date, you could always come back and undertake the relevant assessments – you will have had all of the required training so should sail through the assessment process. Alternatively, if this training leads you into the workplace then maybe your next step would be to register for NVQ.
