Course Description:
The course is designed for participants who want a basic introduction to British Sign Language and offers an entry level communication tool for people who have minimal language skills or have some auditory and verbal communication but could be better supported with the use of some signs. This course is not designed to facilitate fluent communication with D/deaf people but could be useful to aid communication with your client group.
Course Contents:
The course will cover the following:
• A-Z Fingerspelling
• Numbers 1-10
• Greetings
• Food and Drink
• Places
• Emotions and feelings
This is just a suggestion of the topics that we can cover, we can change the course contents accordingly to suit your client group. If you would like to submit a list of words prior to the course then please let us know.
Course Duration:
3 hours
This course is delivered at a range of venues across the North West. The cost of the course is only £25.00 per person. Please contact us for dates and to book a place.
