Introduction

Health and safety law forces strict obligations on employers to protect the health, safety and welfare of persons not employed by them whilst on their premises.

Anyone overseeing contractors working on site, or managing contractors working on construction projects, needs to comprehend the legislation and its practical implications.

This course reflects the changes to the CDM Regulations introduced in 2007.

Objectives

This course will give participants:

– An overview of relevant aspects of the British legal system.
– A Comprehending of the relevant sections of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
– A detailed comprehending of the CDM Regulations (including the 2007 changes), the main duty holders and the roles they play.
