If you have been working as a Plumber for a minimum of 3 years but have never achieved a Plumbing qualification, then this fast-track 6035 assessment process may be just what you need.
What You’ll Learn In This Experienced Plumbers Training
This isn’t a training course; it is an assessment process to establish your knowledge as a Plumber and to show that you can meet the competency requirements of this level 2 Plumbing Diploma. As a time served Plumber, we will require you to provide evidence to show that you have been undertaking a variety of plumbing work for a minimum of 3 years. This can be by way of employer references and witness testimonies etc.
How You’ll Learn
Able Skills has developed this process to assist experienced workers currently working in the plumbing industry to achieve C&G 6035.
These qualifications are unit structured with:
- Practical Units: These are achieved by a mix of knowledge and practical activities in simulated conditions within the centre.
- Knowledge Units: These units are assessed by multi-choice tests/assignments – undertaken in the training centre.
This Experienced Worker route will require you to:
- Provide evidence that you have a minimum of 3 years plumbing experience
- Undertake study at home to prepare you for the online exams in centre
- Undertake practical assessments in centre
Courses Open To You After
You may want to be assessed for NVQ also, if this is the case, please see NVQ Level 2 Plumbing Assessments. Alternatively, with a plumbing qualification under your belt, you may want to move into the gas industry or even an upgrade to level 3 Plumbing. In addition, you could consider Water Regulations, Energy Efficiency (Part L) or Vented & Unvented Hot Water Systems (G3). Training is available at Able Skills for any of the above-listed courses.
