Course Description:

This course is for staff with management and supervisory responsibilities who already have a good understanding of adult safeguarding. It provides an overview of CQC requirements and manager responsibilities. It also looks at learning from Safeguarding Adults Reviews.

Course Contents:

The course will cover the following:
• Legislation updates
• Good practice updates
• CQC Regulation 13: Safeguarding service users from abuse and improper treatment
• Local Authority thresholds
• Safeguarding Adults Enquiries
• Safeguarding Adult Reviews

Other topics can be included if required such as:
• Safeguarding Plans
• Referring to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)
