Course Description:

The course is aimed at Trustees, Board Members and Executive/Senior Staff with strategic responsibilities. The course will provide participants with an understanding of their legal obligations in terms of safeguarding.

Course Contents:

The course will cover the following:

• Safeguarding practice
• The Care Act 2014 principles, safeguarding duties and responsibilities for local authority partners
• Care quality and safeguarding including CQC regulations
• Charity Commission responsibilities in relation to safeguarding
• Governance linked to safeguarding, partnership, duty of candour and HR obligations
• Self-assessment audit of safeguarding
