The Workplace Health & Safety – Level 2 Course is designed for people who wish to gain an understanding of principles and practice of health & safety in the workplace.
This course will be suited to anyone who needs to gain a practical understanding of their role and responsibility for health & safety. No prior knowledge is required.
On successful completion of this course, students will receive an accredited Level 2 Certificate of Achievement.

- Unit Two – Workplace Health & Safety Management Systems
The following topics are covered: Risk assessment, Health and safety information instruction training and supervision, Consulting with workers, Appointed representatives, Health & Safety committees, Health & Safety policies, Health & Safety budgets, RIDDOR.
- Unit Three – Workplace Health
The following topics are covered: Comfortable working condition, Smoking, Alcohol drugs and substance abuse, COSHH, Manual Handling, First Aid, New and expectant mothers, Young people, People with disabilities, Health Surveillance.
- Unit Four – Workplace Safety
The following topics are covered: Clean working condition, Suitable and safe working equipment, Preventing slipping and tripping, transparent and translucent surfaces, Windows, skylights, ventilators, doors and gates, Safety of escalators and walkways, Fire safety, Electrical safety, PPE.
- Unit Five – Workplace Welfare
The following topics are covered: Legal requirements, Toilets and washing facilities, Drinking water, Meal breaks, Rest facilities, Changing and storing clothing, Working time.
