Default What Are The Laws On Owning Farm Animals?

I have considered having a small farm. Nothing for major production, but something small where I can the materials (eggs, milk, ect) for my family as well as sell them to the area.
I am not sure if there are any laws on this or not. I am very new to this and became interested when my brother's neighbor got his own chickens.

I think you would need to have the proper paperwork done for your property, but apart from that, you must only make sure that the animals will have good living conditions according to government law.

If you are a home owner, you are able to own a set number of livestock. You don't need a license but you have to abide by laws such as keeping them on and in your own property.

As mentioned, you will run into a limit depending on the size of your land and certain districts regulate what you can own. Get in touch with your locals and see what they have to say.
