Default Do You Need Higher Education To Become A Tutor?

When I was younger, my mum had a Tutor come around to help me with some of my studies and it was actually a very good thing she did. I had some issues in school and I loved having my Tutor around. From what I remember, she didn't actually have a degree/higher education or anything like that.

Is that the same today or do you need higher education to be a Tutor?

It is my understanding that you don't have to have a degree to become a tutor. It is recommended, however, that you be very good on the subject you choose to tutor. You should choose something that you really enjoy and are very good at before you decide to become a tutor.

I think it depends on the teaching level. Simple maths, English, ect that would be taught to a child under 10 is doable without the need to have higher education.
You can also offer online tutoring which means you can work based on your own skill level and never have to leave your home.

You can be a teacher online without any kind of higher education if it is very low grade levels.

It depends on the level you intend on teaching. For advanced learning and classes, you do. For basic learning and education, you do not. It is similar to being a substitute teacher.
