Default Working In A Flower Shop

Are there any special requirements if you want to work in a flower shop? I know there are professional florists, but I am just looking to become something like an assistant, making bouquets and such.

You need to have general knowledge of horticulture. Being able to care for plants and knowing which need what. Outside from that, making bouquets is something you can be trained to do fairly simply if you are good with your hands and can be creative.

A background in horticulture or herbology is needed. You have to be familiar enough with care, use, and growing of different flower species.
A creative insight for knowing what colors and shapes go well together is a bonus. Most of this can be trained, it isn't necessary to go to school for entry level work.

As mentioned you will need some form of education int he field. Some shops will hire you and train you but very few will.

Unless you intend on being a cashier or something, get studying!
