Default How To Become An Astronaut?

Have you ever looked up at the night sky and thought about how amazing it would be to go into outer space.
It is not really a serious question, just out of curiosity, how does one becomes an astronaut?

Looked like a right place to ask.

Default How To Become An Astronaut

Becoming an astronaut is by no means simple, but if you make it as an astronaut, you will get to travel into space, and see the world from an entirely different perspective.

    Fitness

Astronauts have to be between 5 feet 4 inches tall, and 6 feet 4 inches tall. You will also need to be in peak physical condition if you want to be an astronaut. If you enjoy junk food, and lazy Sunday afternoons, you are going to have to make some changes if you want to become an astronaut. Spend at least an hour every day working out. Run, lift weights, or use other exercise equipment. Physical fitness is key to becoming an astronaut.

    Schooling

You will need to maintain an excellent academic record through your undergraduate and graduate studies. Pick a major directly related to science, and astronomy, and work diligently at it. It is not required, but many astronauts get their doctorate before ever setting foot in a space shuttle.

    Other Training

If you are interested in piloting a mission, you will need at least a thousand hours worth of pilot-in-command time in jet aircraft. The more time you have spent in the sky, the better your ods of becoming a mission pilot for NASA are.

    Applying

You will have to request an application package from NASA. The application process is extremely challenging, and NASA only takes the best and the brightest into the space program. Do not be ashamed if you do not get in, because it is not easy. Once you pass the NASA test, and they accept your application, you are in for another two years of training in Houston, during which time NASA will prepare you for your career as an astronaut.

Becoming an astronaut is extremely challenging, but it is also extremely rewarding. Stay fit, and stay smart, and you will be on your way to a career in the stars.

To become an astronaut is not easy as you have realized already form previous post, there are just too much to learn and too many requirements. If you really want to become an astronaut why not but to go to space you do not need to become an astronaut in its conventional meaning, just book your ticket here: Booking | Virgin Galactic

    NASA - Astronaut Requirements

They are NASA's guidelines. Although the page is old, I don't believe the standards have changed at all and the information still applies. It's definitely hard to get into, but very rewarding I'd imagine.

Even though you warned your parents that you'll disown them if they don't help you become an astronaut, they're still sending you to basketball / soccer camp. Since they're no help, it's wikiHow to the rescue! Keep reading to learn how to start on your path to the next Lagragian point and literally skyrocketing from there.
