Check out that link. It will give you details on what to do. I have never had experience in this but I think it depends on what you intend on doing for the army.
May I ask what got you interested in military work?
A lot of people turn to work for the army because of issues with family, work, or generally feeling like they aren't good enough. You should join because you want to, not because you feel it is your last option for a happy/fulfilled life.
