What do others say?
Rachel Phillips, The Apricot Centre at Huxham’s Cross, Dartington said:”Alex offered an amazing workshop. The session was clear, concise and easy to follow, whether you were an absolute beginner or a little more advanced. After her media workshop I had a clear plan of how to manage the businesses social media and it became fun rather than a chore! I would highly recommend her workshops and Im looking forward to attending her more advanced workshop now I have found my media voice!”
Corinne Prigent of Hopala Creperie said:
“We learned how to focus on story-telling — “It’s not what you do but why you do it” — in our use of social media. I confess that I hadn’t dared to tell my story, because it seemed too personal, and not business-like. I discovered, however, thanks to Alex and her persuasive, smart, and empathetic advice that it is okay to share our stories, and what’s more, to imbue the stories of our professional paths with humanistic qualities. I learned the importance of being open to sharing with others (and especially with those who like and share our posts) what makes us who we are professionally and what inspires us, rather than focussing on the products (in my case, crêpes and galettes, Hopala Crêperie) that we sell. Alex was enthusiastic and dynamic; she brought us together and energised us. The cherry on the cake was being able to network and create bonds with other people in the same situation who were asking the same kinds of questions, and working together on the answers. This was an incredibly positive experience, from beginning to end.”
Anna Thompson of Nourishing Families said:
“As well as explaining the different platforms, scheduling tools and other practical aspects of digital marketing, she focussed on how important it is to tell our story as a way to connect with our audience. I recognised that this was definitely something that I could do more of. The workshop was very enjoyable with a lovely group of local social enterprises and small businesses. Thanks Alex for running these!”
