Able Skills has designed this 5-day Advanced Bricklaying course for those of you who have completed our 5-day Introductory Bricklaying course and want to take things a step further. This particular bricklaying course will teach you more advanced techniques within bricklaying whilst also provide you with the opportunity to build on your speed and technique. The projects which you will undertake will be much more ornate and detailed than on the 5-day introductory bricklaying course. You will also be introduced to different bricklaying tools to achieve angled, even and different cuts.
What You’ll Learn At The Advanced Bricklaying Course
An ideal course if you have basic bricklaying skills that you would like to build upon and also try your hand at putting together more ornate structures and brickwork designs. You will gain full knowledge of all of the various stages of bricklaying which will provide you with the ability and confidence to tackle more complex areas of brickwork.
How You’ll Learn
Having attended our introductory course you will now have the opportunity to improve your speed and technique as well as having the opportunity to undertake:
- Building archways (segmental)
- Swoops
- Ornate pillars
- Birds beak detail
- Brick on Edge with Creasing Tile
- Quetta Bond Walling
- Plinth Brickwork
Again, this is a real hands-on course under direction and supervision of Able Skills Bricklaying instructors.
Training Courses Open To You After
This course can also be covered over 2 consecutive weekends should you have other commitments which prevent you from attending Monday – Friday.

Additional Info
We are not claiming to cover every single aspect of bricklaying in 5 days but we do promise to provide you with very comprehensive bricklaying training and an excellent opportunity to progress further if you want. Our 5-day bricklaying courses will act as a great basis for work within the bricklaying industry but we do recommend that you consider additional training if you want to sustain a long-term career as a Bricklayer.
This course is a hands-on, practical tiling course and you will be involved at every stage and will be participating throughout. It is therefore recommended you bring suitable clothing and for your own safety, steel capped footwear is essential.
