How You’ll Learn

The course is designed to build your skills gradually until plastering becomes second nature and at this Centre where ‘reality’ is important, this is easily achieved.

Able Skills Plastering Centre has been designed to challenge you! We can provide you with easy areas to build your confidence to more complicated areas which will test your patience!

We will provide you with the plastering training to meet the standards as required by City & Guilds but we will also build on this to give you much more so that you will fully understand what plastering is all about. The emphasis for us is on meeting and exceeding our customers’ expectations. We have designed the Plastering Centre to cover every possible plastering scenario, providing separate areas for each training module with separate areas for all assessments!
Courses Open To You After

Following on from your City & Guilds Plastering qualification it is important that you look to the future and consider achieving an NVQ at level 2. This will require you to be working within the Plastering industry in order to build a portfolio of evidence which can be assessed to determine your progress and support you in achieving an NVQ. If you are looking to undertake ‘site’ based plastering work in the future, it is important that you have a CSCS card, without it, you will not be able to access sites. The aim of the test is to examine knowledge across a wide range of health and safety topics in order to improve safety and productivity on site. If you are looking to hold an Experienced Worker or Skilled Worker card, you will need to be registered for an NVQ – You can do this with Able Skills by undertaking an additional 2 weeks of plastering training. Able Skills will register you for an NVQ free of charge when you feel ready to take this next step.
